Prof.Dr.K.Muraleedharan Pillai MD (Ay) a well known ayurvedic scholar, teacher, physician and researcher has been in pursuit of pure ayurveda for the last 45 years and 40 years in academic field. He is also a specialist in treating Psoriasis(skin diseases), Psychiatry, Hemiplegia, Frozen shoulder, Sciatica like Rheumatic disease. He has written numerous books on Ayurveda for the common people to give awareness of Ayurveda and has published a number of articles in various National and international medical journals and magazines in Malayalam and English. During a long period of commendable service, he has served as principal for 26 years in Ollur, Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda college and in Vishnu Ayurveda College, Shoranur. He was a member of board of studies in Ayurveda of Kerala University of Health sciences, M. G University and Calicut University. He was the medical director of Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda Foundation & research Center, Thaikattusery, Ollur. Also served as chairman BAMS examination Board and MD examiner in several universities in Kerala. He was a senior consultant in Oushadhi Panchakarma hospital & Research Centre, Thrissur. Now he is the chief physician of Ayursopanam Healthcare, Thrissur.
